Ritual and ceremonial dancing had played a significant role in ancient Rome.
There were two kinds of ancient Roman dance. They could be either gymnastics or mimetic.
Dance was very important to the ancient Romans. Dancing changed through out time. It went from only being performed in religious occasions or fesivals to being performed in theaters and plays.
